About Us:
Rural Skin Cancer Service (RSCS) is an outreach skin cancer screening clinic that exists to provide a quality diagnostic service to Australian's living in regional and rural areas. We aim to increase community awareness of Australia's most common form of cancer and ensure skin cancers are caught in their early stages, thereby increasing the chances of successful treatment.
Our doctors are experienced skin cancer clinicians with advanced training and research in the field.
About the Role: Nurse
We are looking to recruit nurses for our growing skin cancer screening clinic. Initially, employment will be on a casual basis and there will be potential to become permanent part-time depending on demand.
Your main objective in this role will be to review patients in a clinic-based setting and assess their level of skin cancer risk, perform a skin check, take photos of suspicious lesions, and provide follow-up and prevention advice.

To assist you in this role, RSCS provides a hardware kit with all the equipment you need, risk assessment tools, remote skin cancer doctor review (who then send a report to each patient) and emerging AI decision support regarding suspicious lesions.
Training and ongoing support via our experienced skin cancer doctor team is available.

Any experience in general practice or skin cancer/dermatology clinics would be beneficial, but not essential.
Employees who fit this role well have:
-
Experience as a nurse (RN or EN).
